Thanks for the love on my mittens and new knitting 'bag'! =)
The bag came from Freedom home - they have a whole range of cupcakey goodness at the moment, including another little zipped bag, slightly bigger than mine, oven mitts and aprons - so cute!!!
Today's 'show and tell' is the cabely progress I've made on Shedir.
I've just finished my fourth repeat of the cables - there are five repeats in all (at least I think its 5, hmmm must check pattern again...) then the decreases start.
It moving along ok, and I have the cable pattern 'memorised' (actually, its more that the pattern has become kind of intuitive), but I have to say I'm looking forward to moving on to the decreases - the cable repeats are starting to feel really 'groundhog day-y'.
Oh, by the way, I had a couple of comments on the yarn last week - the colour is really pretty, isn't it?
Its the purple colourway (3914) of Patons feathersoft 8ply - in 'real life' it has a sheen to it thats quite opal-y - its so nice!
This afternoon the Boy and I are off to the footy - the first of 4 games which will be played at Manuka this season.
It looks like being a gorgeous afternoon, and we're heading over quite early as there's some other stuff going on before the game - the NAB 150 tour which is heading all over the country this season to celebrate 150 years of Australian Rules football.
There'll be hand-balling and live music, and if we're lucky we might even get to meet Sheeds!
Hope your Saturday's sunny! =)
besos =)
