Shedir ribbing - c'est fini

Ooooh why is it that the ribbing always seems to take so long?
Those ten short rows can feel like they take as long as the entire rest of the project!

So, I'm sooooo glad to be finished with the Shedir ribbing - ten rows of 128 stitches of 1x ribbing was just painful!

I'm excited about moving on to the cabley part!
At the moment I'm working precariously on dpns, since my circular 3.25mm was way too big.

I'll pick up a 16" tomorrow when I'm in civic for S'n'B tomorrow =)

In other news, look what my garden made!!!

I'd given up all hope of getting anything at all useful from my garden this year (even the mint is struggling - something keeps eating it!) then there was this little guy - all red and shiny =)

hooray!

  3. Oh Kuka - it's lovely! Shedir is going to be beautiful.

And your little capsicum is gorgeous - or is it a chilli?

  4. Ooh I'm looking forward to seeing your Shedir; I've been wanting to make that pattern for some time, but while I am able to do cables fairly well, I don't enjoy it half as much as I do lace. :( One day though.

I hate ribbing too. It sucks at your soul and brain, driving you insane. And then suddenly it's done and you've probably knit 4 rows too much because you were in such a frenzy to get it done. Or is that just me??
