Hurray - yesterday was Brown Owls day!!!
We had a lovely afternoon - it was warmer and much less rainy-gloomy than we expected, so we could crafty away with the doors open and an uninterrupted view across to the wisteria which in full bloom in Canberra at the moment.
Whilst we usually work on something together, this month we had a BYO craft - and it was so much fun to see what everyone was making!
I used this tutorial from Little Jenny Wren to make the cutest pair of pinwheel brooches, using fabric scraps.
The ones in the tutorial are stitched onto bobby pins for little girls' hair - aren't they a good idea?!
And SO QUICK - I finished these two with plenty of time to spare! =)
Next month we're going to try our hands at applique! =)
