In March I am reading...

The month is halfway over, but to be honest I've been holding off on my bloggy book clubbing until I had something to report - sneaky, I know!
The thing is I knew the bus trip to Sydney would be the perfect opportunity to get some serious reading done on my book from last month - The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest - and sure enough I finished it up on Monday morning.

I have to say, I really enjoyed the entire Millenium series. Although the series is made up of 3 books it is really two very distinct stories, which I think had fairly different feelings about them. I liked in the second and third books that you are seeing the story unfold from the perspective of characters on both 'sides' - so a lot of tension is built by the fact that to some extent you know what is going to happen, but just not when.

Now that I have finished the books I'm looking forward to seeing the films (although there are some bits that I think might just be to scary on the big screen!)

Next up I have started reading Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks.
My Mum loaned it to me ages ago, after it went through her book club, and I've heard loads of good things about it so I can't wait to get into it!

I'd love to know what you're reading, so do let us know in the comments, and leave a link if you post on your blog, to join our bloggy book club for March!!

Enjoy your reading!!

  1. I loved The Year of Wonders, and I have read some of her other books too. I haven't tackled the Trilogy you are reading. I was listening to the radio and I heard that Larsson was planning many more books. It's very sad they won't be written.
