Quick 5 :: Weekend Interests

Angie over at Gnomeangel posted today about a new bloggy meme. This weekend the theme is 'weekend interests' - Angie is asking us to share 5 things you've done this weekend or love to do on your weekends. Of course I couldn't resist her invite to join in! =)

So, here are 5 shots capturing my weekend (in the random order blogger decided to show them!)...

1) New mug
I picked this up yesterday when we went to check out the new shops at our local mall. I do spend most of the weekend with my face in a mug of coffee, so I guess this represents that too haha

2) Crafty stuff
I haven't touched the sewing machine this weekend, but I am making progress on the farm yard quilt from Alicia Paulson's Embroidery Companion, which I started at Brown Owls back in February

3) Furry friends

there's no point trying to kid ourselves - these guys run the house, weekend or no. This is only half the team, but it is almost impossible to get the two of them in frame together, and Max felt most like playing along today.

4)Holiday

I have been doing a bit more sorting through holiday photos - it's so hard to know where to start! I also let my inner Yorkie out with some baking yesterday arvo.

5)Footy
And as is the case every week, our activities this weekend were planned around being home for both our teams' games this arvo, as well as the new boys first run last night. The bombers have just gone down at the last minute in a very tight one, so things are a bit tense just now... here's hoping my Hawks can do better!!

If you'd like to join in with your quick 5 pop over to Gnomeangel and add your link to the list!
Thanks Angie for hosting - and see you next week! =)

  1. I think a new mug has so many criteria to meet, that if it is good, it deserves to be celebrated. Nice ponies and yes, our animal companions do rule the roost!!!

  2. OMG I don't know where to start!

    1. LOVE the mug! Sometimes I wish I drank hot drinks just so I could buy all the cute mugs I see everywhere! Love the colour combination.

    2. The embroidery is looking great. I can't wait to see it all together.

    3. Our pets run our house too. Although this weekend I did manage to wrangle the beagle into having a bath so that was a massive win!

    4. I can't wait to see the photos! I still haven't organised ours from our 2006 trip to Thailand, I may use you as inspiration to get that done!

    5. GNOMES!!!! I want one! Actually maybe two - one Essendon (me) and one Collingwood (him). These are brilliant!

    Thanks for playing along. :)
