Ever since the year I spent in the Netherlands, December 5/6 are for Sinterklaas and pepernoten!

The pepernoten recipe I use is a Dutch one - it is a super cute handout that a toy shop was giving away, and I love it!
I have blogged the recipe before - you can find it here.

I have a colleague of Dutch decent, and since I had it on good authority that she's been mostly well behaved this past year I gave Sinterklaas a hand to make sure a package of pepernoten was waiting on her desk when she arrived this morning =)

Better a gift of pepernoten from Sinterklaas than a visit from Black Pieter!
