Queen's Day

Since April is on the way out (already! =S), and especially since its Queen's Day in the Netherlands (vij houde van oranje!) I thought I'd post some pics I have of orange

I guess it's pumpkin season, which certainly made the month more orange

quickly became pumpkin risotto

full of orangey goodness!

And some more yellow bunny =)

Besides thinking about food, I've also had some knitting progress:
Here's yellow bunny, supporting his fave football team =)

And with his friend-in-progress, Scotty Knitty Kitty

Scotty is coming out really well
He now has arms too, and is just waiting on legs =)

Well, I'm working on a funky wip display on my sidebar, like I have seen on Emmie's blog, among others.
My current level of knitting prowess, along with my "oooh I'm gonna knit that" list will call for:

and Throw

So, now just to see if I can get them on the sidebar hehe
Thanks Emms for your help and pics!!!
And Indigirl for the java coding and pics!

girl power!

Ooooh these blog things are starting to scare me hehe
I swear this is for real

You Are Buffy the Vampire Slayer

"We saved the world. I say we have to party."

You are a Brainy Girl!

Whether you're an official student or a casual learner, you enjoy hitting the books.
You know a little bit about everything, and you're always dying to know more.
For a guy to win your heart, he's got to share some of your intellectual interests.
A awesome book collection of his own doesn't hurt either!

You Are Artemis!

Brave, and a natural born leader.
You're willing to fight for what you believe in...
And willing to make tough decisions.
Don't forget - the people around you have ideas too!

knitty kitty

well, maybe you remember I was working on Kate the Kitten from knitty?
I was making her in a football jumper which had vertical stripes, the colours of my fave team to try out the pattern for one I would make for my sister.
Here's where I got to:

Then I decided that I could have done a much better job in the stripe area, where I was swapping between colours, so sadly there's been some frogging =S
Now I have restarted with the Kate I will knit for my sister.
Fingers crossed =D

I believe in the Easter Bunny

I do!
And here's why:

That's what each of us found by our beds on Sunday morning - chocolate glorious chocolate.
Mind you, I was a little worried that this might scare him away.....

Don't worry Easter Bunny, I was jus part of the way through Jess Hutch's fabulous bunny pattern!
Here's the finished product, in PS colours, and modelled by the lovely PS April kitty, Bob =)

Bob has been quite the photogenic model this week, here he is tucked up in bed reading my brand new copy of the SnB book:

Ok, maybe I'm just getting excited cos I don't usually have cats to photograph - I'm home visiting at my parents' farm for Easter.
The SnB book
is awesome!
I can hardly decide what to start first!
I really like the mohair sweater - To Die For, and Under the Hoodie, and a couple of the bags, especially the rock back-pack with the monkey and the rabbit- phew =)
Well, Mum is taking us to the LYS today, to check out yarn, beads and all things crafty, so must go prepare!
Hope everyone is having a great holiday!

Goodbye March, hellooooooo April

Since March is gone and April has arrived, I'd like to share the last of my March project spectrum pics:

Pink and red in my bathroom:

This is kind of multicoloured, but largely red and pink.
Its a scarf I have by the mirror in the bathroom to hang my earrings in.
If you look really carefully you'll see lots of them are pink =)

Pink and red in my bedroom:

My Danish flag!!! =)
I lived in Denmark for a year, and the flag reminds me of all the fun I had, and all the great people I met =)

My mum made the quilt for me - she a brilliant crafter, and taught me pretty much all I know.
The quilt is beautiful, warm but light and large enough to cover my double bed.
The bag was a gift from my aunt for my graduation.
She bought it in London, an it is the most divine colour!

And here's the pink fish, handing the project spectrum torch to the Dutch orange lion for the new month
